the Yarmouth Canadian tire opened a pro shop type part of store selling bows guns and hunting gear. the parents neighbors kid bought a bear bow and had it fitted and brought it home and couldn't shoot it so dad called me to give him some help after shooting the kids bow and seeing how far off it was and after closer look i seen the sight was on upside down not allowing for proper sight in LOL after 20 mins the kid was shooing 4 -5 inch groups at 15 yards so he was pretty pumped and Scott I think he may show up at ur place soon after I talked to him explaining about how they work and why u need someone who knows what they are doing
oh and guy set kids bow up has been messing with bows or bow hunting 20 years lol

I would have to disagree with you there Justin,I know the guy personally and i'll say he has plenty of knowledge and knows how to set up and measure the draw lengths properly, maybe somebody else set the bow up,as there would be no way he would send a bow out with the sight on upside down.He also has two of the best archers and bow tuners in the province helping him,2 guys that have set up and helped more people with tuning problems over the last 25 years without charging a penny for their time and skills. The bow could have been set up by anybody,he has no control over that ,he just works there. The same thing when he called about a gun for a customer, and was told 3 days it will be there,he passed that info along to the customer and the gun took 12 days, guess who gets the heat?
I say give them a chance,if Wayne isn't working and somebody wants a bow ,well they are still gonna sell the bow, wether its set up right or not,he has no control over what canadian tire wants to do,he is just an employee who seems to be getting all the heat, and has no control over whats is sold when he isn't there.
I would also say these guys must know a little bit about setting up and tuning bows, because their names are all over every trophy in the first place sections for many many years running, including first place finishes at the nationals, and provincals at every archery club i've been to shoot at.I would get to know people a little better before bashing them, they all know their stuff, regardless of how the young fella got out the door with a bow like that,i bet Wayne never saw it .

all I know is the young guy was told by the guy settin it up he had 20 years experience. I dont know who it was as far as name wise. but if the store lets this go on with ppl not knowing how to set them up and selling bows when their "experts" arent there its gonna reflect badly on the store as it has for this young guy.
I was in the store yesterday and noticed the prices on guns have dropped every time I been there. I even had a guy open up the archery case to see a rest and was blown away to see that it was 99 bucks for a nap Apache rest!! I enjoy seeing all different stuff but they gonna have to drop prices for me unless I am in huge pinch.

I agree ,the worst part is most of the bows come in all set up with peep sight served in already ,which is a no-no.The prices are set by CT,Wayne has been telling them their pricing needs to be looked at big time if they want to continue doing this.He is only one guy who works there,he has no control over =what the store does,he wishes he could be the only one selling and setting up thye bows that go out the door, sadly he already can see whats gonna happen because other employees that have NO CLUE are selling things they know nothing about.I think if they wanted to open a pro shop they should let the guys sell archery gear that at least know about it.I figure thats gonna ruin it right there, people walking out with miss matcxhed gear.

i'm not saying anything bad about the guy's or ct because i don't know them but anyone who sells a bow straight from the box and with center shot and nock height probably close at best is not setting up bows properly, unless there completely tearing all there bows down setting everything to specs and shooting them to 30 or 40 yards, but i'm a pro shop and there a box store and most of my pricing is still cheaper.

its simple really the sight is left or right handed and that the sight houseing is taken off from the riser mount and the riser mount was upside down (sight was geared up for left hand ) and not re afjusted for right.. therefore making the sight much lower then it should be so I flipped the riser mount and put the sight houseing back on..when I went and did a shearch on this bows its a common thing that ppl dont know about how to fix.

i dont even bother look at archery section as I have what I want set up with my bow but I noticed the guns have been droping in price and they need to compete to stay in it. i just wish they had more qualty gear in there for gun cleaning reloading ect.. I always have high hopes of finding something in there and leave unhappy lol maybe its just me... there is one guy working the guns about my age I would suggest he get rase as he goes out of his way to help me but other guy I asked if I need help and I seen he was working with another customer. I was being nice and said finish up with who your working with and I will wait but I didnt mean that he should stop and deal with 5 people before me LOL
I am just really spoiled with dealing with customer service one on one service

The prices are dropping more,i was just there, they got some decent prices but not really that great.Everybody is trying to make a buck i guess,i did handle a 336 marlin in 30-30 that felt like the cheapest gun i've ever had in my hands, the quality of guns is down from what i'm used to.
