Hung a stand where I shot my spikehorn a few years ago,but thinking of baiting it for bear (some blue poo around the berry patches). Haven't gotten around to it, and this Saturday is deer opener of course, and then I'm into the birds, so not sure the bear thing will go much past me getting a tag. I guess it depends on how long it takes me to get my deer, and how the dog's elbow holds up for bird season. Otherwise, got my usual bow-deer stand in Lunenburg set up. Take'em and I have been watching all kinds of deer there, but only a few are candidates to shoot for me this year (because of the loss of the bonus tag). I've got my eye on a thick forkhorn, or a couple of dry does. That's about it really. I flirted with the idea of a new bow, but didn't handle anything that I liked more than my old Brute, so I saved myself a pile of money and stuck with it!

Almost that time of the year again. I guess we can take one this year separate from the rifle season.
