just wondering how many practice at 40 yards and what kinda groups you shoot at 40 yards?
I was out today and shot some at 40 yards trying to get my 40 yard pin set up but it was a little hard in the wind and so cold my fingers was numb LOL I was a little let down in my group as I had 2 fliers that went high but I think it was my fault..I would say my group (don't laugh LOL) was about 7 inch and all my arrows where inside the scoreable rings on the 3D buck

I don't practice at 40 yds - usually 15-30. I figure and average pattern at 40 would be about 8" on an average day -Dave

I am just curious anyways to see if I am average shooter plus I figure if I can tighten longer range groups my close ones should become easier

No joke..but 20--all fletchings touching if not im not a happy shooter, 30 pretty close to touching and 40.. on feta targets they better be in the yellow... those are just my likings.

me and rebel just came in from shooting. man a whole world of difference with the peep on it. I'm pretty much contained to within 2 inches at about 15 yards. still getting the odd flyer but happy so far with it. alot better than sunday, didn't loose any arrows tonight lol

when the wife stated shooting this winter I got her to practice shooting good form and then do more of the aiming and now she is shooting very well now ...I wonder if you make small #s on the vanes of your arrows so that you can see if its the same arrow being the flyer?

ok just wondering as alum can get bent easy... I would say Archery talk and search form and how grip the bow...thats what I did and it helped me ALOT and I feel I have a consistent form now...now if I have a flier I know it soon as I release it

I always shoot the same three arrows for 3-D shoots and sighting in with. One with pink, black and yellow highlighter/marker on the cock fletch so if ones a flyer which none have been yet I know what one it is.

My rig is shooting pretty dam sweet right now,so i figured i'd try my broadheads,I was very surprised to see them hit right with my feild points at 20 and 30 yards ,I never tried any farther, thats my limit with a bow .Scott tuned the bow he must know something i don't,i always need to adjust something a bit,LOL
