here is a stand I built about 5-6 years ago and it is still going strong. it did need a new ladder this year but thats miner. when I built it I notched boards to go around some limbs and it worked great in concealing the stand. it has shingled roof and rug on floor and walls to keep it quite. you can stand up in this stand and shoot either rifle or bow looking up to the shooting window looking out of shooting window

Nice and comfy! I use hang on stands and a couple 5-hub ground blinds. I am starting to really enjoy hunting ground blinds and this year had deer within a few feet of me, very cool.

ducknuts - Would you say that your ground blind is easy to set up? My father is getting up in age and is no longer able to climb into treestands or use climbing stands. I was thinking that getting him a ground blind would be a great idea, but want something that's easy for him to set up/take down. My Uncle previously bought a cheap one (around $100) and the thing is nearly impossible to take down. Therefor, it doesn't get used.

It's very simple, takes me under 2 minutes to get going. The carry pack is very good too, lots of room so I can put my chair and cushions in the pack along with the blind. The Bone Collector blind is good quality for sure. They go on sale at cdn tire for 199, but are regular 299.

Me and my father use Gorilla tree stands (hang on) and we had a ground blind until he left it out in a wind storm then it was nothing. Buying a new one this year for the bow as our land is all woods, and were putting a food plot in and we will probably go treestand there unless a ground blind has a good spot..
