just thought I would ask who has their eye on a new sight that they would like to try .. I love the fuse I have on mine but its only 3 pin and after doing some thinking I am wanting a 4 or 5 pin sight.
gonna have to have a good look at some but I like the looks of the G5 line and copper john and couple others... one thing I have been looking at and noticed is some have a "Knob" on them and looks like it can be removed for traveling and just slide it in and tighten it back up and your ready to go ...anyone have experience with this kinda sight ? most of this kind stick out a ways so is this more of a target sight ...and why wouldn't it be good for hunting

Alot of people like the targewt style sights for hunting, its all in what you want i guess.I like the sights that adjust for 3-d,the longer sight radius helps with accurraccy, and helps to center your sight housing in your peep sight as well.I like the copper john sights, extreme sights ,spott hogg sights are one of the best on the market, nothing touches their customer service eitheer,i had a seconsd hand sight that broke when i fell on it ,i emailed them and they had me send iot in for repair, the cost was shipping one way ,they really stand behind their gear. They are expensive though, but are built with quality components and made to last.
For hunting i learned to go with the simple stuff,a fancy drop away isn't much good when its froze to the bow shelf.LOL.Its all about trying different things and finding what you like though, not what the other guys have onn their bows, but what you like.

thanks for that info !! I have a fancy drop away LOL but I know what you are saying... I am still not 100% sure and dont have the money right now to change but I like the single pin style but I also hate thinking I have to adjust it all the time too ...I came across this sight and am pretty interested the G 5 Optix XR 2 it has one pin I could use for 20 and adjustable I can use for other ranges

I love drop aways too,i used them for a few years on my hunting rig, always used one on my 3-d set up,but i love the simplicity of the wisker biscuit so much for hunting.I used a single pin HHA sight for a couple years, very nice single pin sight, easy to adjust, also you don't need to lock it down, its stiff enough you can just leave it unlocked and shoot .The sight tapes have your yardages marked on them, just slide to your mark and shoot.I prefer multi pin sights,i started with those and can't get used to the others that good.Just about anything you will buy today is a well made sight, doesn't matter what company, they all seem to make a quality product.
