well picked up my bow last night and am very hapy with it, gonna go give it a try here later today. the first thing I need to do with it is add either a kisser button or peep sight to it or both. it has a 3 pin sight with a bubbl level on it but just need to ad some point of reference to it. just wondering what everyone prefers, peep or kisser, or both, and how much of a pain are they to install? something I should bring to a shop or easy to do myself?

There are lots of ways to add a peep or a kisser,if you have no idea, don't try either, got to a shop where they will show you how its done.I can change a peep by backin goff my limbs and using a string splitter,i've done it many times but you can ruin a string if you don't know what you are doing, better to see somebody that knows.A kisser is not needed,i shoot with just a kisser and no peep sometimes for hunting,on a bow thats shot mostly out of a treestand a kisser will help keep your form in check in awkward shooting positions,or shooting from angles.

yea most of my hunting will be done in a tree stand so I think a kisser would be a good idea. think maybe I'll get both. would probably be best. wonder what it'd cost to have them put on. doesn't seem like too bad.

I agree with archeryassisin about getting a proshop to install the peep or kisser button. I would recommend using both if you are new to archery. Kisser button will give you proper anchor every time but target reference will be inconsistent if you dont have a peep. I would use both untill you get comfortable with your rig. Then I would drop the peep if you want. And that is my 2 cents worth...

cool. after giving it a try tonight I'm definately gonna have both put on. also a d loop too. didn't do too bad with it at about 10 -15 yards but had 2 flyers one of which hit something and snapped the end of the shaft. might pick up some more arrows too.

I have never used a kisser button before so I cant comment on weather to have one or not but I like to keep my string "clean" as possible and only have what I need. and I told the wife when I got her bow for her don't get attached to the first doz arrows LOL as good chance they will be in the trees in no time LOL

I have both, started with just a peep, but my biggest problem was being new into archery was i wasnt comfy and couldnt find a good anchor point! So I bought 2 snap-on type kisser buttons for .99cents, and now i wouldnt shoot without it. Mine just snap on the string, I have better groups with it and its a lot easier to get yourself positioned.

well just got back from common cross and am all set up. just went with a peep and had a d-loop put on. he gave me pointers on my form and showed me how to set up a good anchor point. he set me up on a target and must of been close to 20-30 minutes worth of a lesson. not a long distance but was within an inch every shot, and it felt very comfortable. he checked my bow over, made sure my draw was set right checked my draw weight and gave me a good price on it all. will definately be going back next time I'm in need of anything

congrats you will be shooting till your arm falls off LOL one tip I would say is if you are shooting well and then slowly start getting sloppy shots but the bow down LOL one thing i used to do is frustrate myself and make it worse when my arm started to get tired

Good for you on getting set-up. As justin said if your shooting gets sloppy and it will take a break for a day or 2. Keep us posted.

I tried all kinds of set ups over the years for hunting,i'm left handed ,left eye dominant, but shoot right handed with both eyes open using my right eye as the dominant eye for archery.I couldn't shoot a left hand bow matter how hard i tried, couldn't get used to it.I got a right hand bow and spent a lot of hours and broken arrows getting used to it.It was a long time before i trained my eyes to work like they do now,if i pick up a gun my left eye takes over,if i pick up a bow my right eye takes over, good thing as i wouldn't be shooting a bow if it didn't work like this.Point is,you practice long enough you'll get used to shooting a peep,or kisser ,or both, then you'll wonder how you went without it.I been using a kisser buttin and no peep sight for bow hunting,in a ground blind its dark long before the sky is,peep is no good if you can't see out of it.Problemn with no peep, everything seems blurry.
